It is strange that we are so connected
Your heart weaved into overlapping layers with mine
The thought of you ripped from it is completely demented
(The distance and silence easily resented)
And something that can't be healed, even by time

Our hearts are strong, and I hope this will never come
But, many thing are being thrown in our way
The world drawing foul boundaries, some
Making silence between our days

Still, I find the night most striking
As I look to the Moon, in her pale glory
And her solace she gives is quite gratifying
While she tells me the most inventive (true) story

And (feeling my longing) she tugs the stars into your shape
Whilst I still deny the perfection, for it could never equate
To yours that you hold modestly. I beg, even mandate
For her to hold you a kiss from my tender lips
(And how the thought of you makes my heart skip)
So she can deliver them to you when your eyes fall upon her, that date

I will feel it in my worn and distressed soul
That night, and when our gaze meets the moon
The briefest connection through her light full
I will swear, promise to you

That I will cross this confounded boundary
Tear away at the terrible marks with my knuckles and nails
If I must; So I can see, and reach out to you
A poem for when you really miss someone you love, and an actual sort of story of how I tell my loved one to look at the moon when he misses me, because I will be looking as well, and he can find me searching through her glow for him.
Pretty personal, right? But I thought I might as well share ;)
