Literature Text
It is strange that we are so connected
Your heart weaved into overlapping layers with mine
The thought of you ripped from it is completely demented
(The distance and silence easily resented)
And something that can't be healed, even by time
Our hearts are strong, and I hope this will never come
But, many thing are being thrown in our way
The world drawing foul boundaries, some
Making silence between our days
Still, I find the night most striking
As I look to the Moon, in her pale glory
And her solace she gives is quite gratifying
While she tells me the most inventive (true) story
And (feeling my longing) she tugs the stars into your shape
Whilst I still deny the perfection, for it could never equate
To yours that you hold modestly. I beg, even mandate
For her to hold you a kiss from my tender lips
(And how the thought of you makes my heart skip)
So she can deliver them to you when your eyes fall upon her, that date
I will feel it in my worn and distressed soul
That night, and when our gaze meets the moon
The briefest connection through her light full
I will swear, promise to you
That I will cross this confounded boundary
Tear away at the terrible marks with my knuckles and nails
If I must; So I can see, and reach out to you

five people who mean a lot
a: thanks for teaching me how to laughsometimes it is nice to get lost in rolling laughter and hysterical giggles. around you i'm unconscious of worldly things as our jubilance brings me to greater heights and it becomes easier, and also desirable, to live in our moments.
c: your passion can ignite my sometimes dry-stick souland you know better than most that i'm not the kind that sits around the bonfire, but with you i'm reminded that there's more to life than the to-do list and i can relegate it to kindling as we roast marshmallows on its remains.
a: you've always had my back, my darling, and it can't be easy. i'm fairly heavy

She strutted down the cobbled lane and made them stare at her with their drooling eyes. She knew what was happening of course, she wasn't a stranger to darting glances. To make it all the more fun, Amelia reached into her purse and pulled out her dainty, red mirror. She opened it slowly and reapplied some lipstick. After that was through she placed the mirror back in her purse and dropped the bags of groceries that she was carrying home. Unbeknown to the men checking her out, she had planned this.
"Don't lift a finger sweethear', me and the boys will pick tha' up for ya".
"Don't trouble yourself dear sir, I will be fine".

I'm letting you go
Song for my sons that I wrote
12/22/2015
50 miles of driving rain
on the hood of my car
50 miles away from you
never seem so far
I know I've made my mistakes
I pushed you away
but see
I'm letting you go
because you mean that much to me
it'll be a sacrifice
I want you to know
it took a lot of thinking
the decision to go
It ain't something that I did on a dime
and I know somehow , someway
that over time
you'll understand the reasons why
And you'll see
That I'm letting you go
because you mean that much to me
People get to leaving
For all kinds of reasons
And many blame the other for why
But you need to see
That this time it

A poem for when you really miss someone you love, and an actual sort of story of how I tell my loved one to look at the moon when he misses me, because I will be looking as well, and he can find me searching through her glow for him.
Pretty personal, right? But I thought I might as well share
