I Kill MonstersChapter 6
  I woke up in the nurses office with a bag of ice on my head and a thermometer jammed under my tongue. It smelled faintly of latex gloves and Tylenol, and with the walls painted a mint green, I began to feel a bit queasy. Why the hell am I here?! Choking, a sat straight up only to have old, weathered hands push me back on my back.
  "Oh no no no!! You need rest, Miss Claristine!! You could have any number of viruses or sicknesses!!" the school nurse pressed my shoulders back into the crackling paper under me. "You stay right here, and I'll go and fetch ya some medicine." She scurried of into the depths of the office.
  I mumbled through my thermometer that I was fine, but doubting the she had heard me; I leaned back and tried to remember what my head was swimming. I was late, and then I was running as fast as I could before they closed the gates...

Breathe AgainRise and fall
with ragged breath,
my demons drag me
farther towards my Death.
Screaming and kicking,
I fight with all the time
on the clock left ticking,
to keep what is mine.
I can hear in the distance
my heart fail me,
and just this instance
I wish I could see.
Finally I break their grip,
the talons scrap with a hollow
click click
as they pursue, they follow.
Their greedy hearts and shallow minds
they whisper threats
as I run.
I can't leave this behind
The kindness in these eyes
And watching the sunrise shine
I can't break these ties
I won't let go
no matter what you see
no matter what happens to me
I will not let go
I will be set free
but my battle cry
Echos off these walls
in which no one can hear through
and which no one can see.
Every time my body succumbs
Every time my heart flat lines,
I don't want you to cry over me,
Only my body is numb,
and I will break out of my own defense,

WalkThe constant slap,
of your soles against the pavement
The familiarity of you muscles
Of each tendon and vein
Pulsing, thrumming, stretching.
Almost at hypnotic rhythm.
The wind,
feather soft and hidden;
slips past you,
running it's cool fingers through your hair
and whispers secrets in your ear.
Your arms swing back and forth,
To and fro,
like water on a shore,
lapping up the sand and stones greedily.
You can hear birds
singing in a childish contest,
chirping of legends and myths
and see the trees sway joyously;
their long, wrinkled branches reaching to the clouds,
waiting to embrace their tears
and comfort them with their voices of promises
that come from the swishing rustle of the leaves.
The sun kisses every inch of your skin,
lovingly and with passion, as if to leave your bare face
aflame with delight and happiness.
Sweat drips down you, like your very body
is crying from enduring each step you take
But; Press on, my friend,
Leave everything you don't need
behind

InnocenceWe all start out
With Innocence,
and retain it as long as we can.
We then become curious
and break all bounds,
We fall into habits,
We fall into patterns,
We fall in love,
and we fall in general.
We change ourselves to survive
and we fix ourselves with tape and glue.
We suffer, we blame,
We fear and we hate.
All while the innocence
drips slowly down the drain
of the old, rusted sink,
that we call our past.
Never to be retrieved again.
But some of us...
We still have a sparkle in our eyes,
We can still fill our hearts with beauty and kindness;
We hold onto our innocence
We keep so much
that we can share it,
and teach others

Just an artist who experiments with all styles and medias of art and a writer. I love what I do, and I want to share my works with other artists and learn about all there other artist out there as well.

Hey everybody! I know I haven't been posting too much, but there are good reasons...I just have too many to name :shrug: Sorry, I can update you as I go along with my agenda for the future.
So as you know, Summer is coming!! :relax: Most people look forward to the days that you don't have school, and have free time to spend as you wish to hang out with friends and families, and even a special boy of girl if you have on. Well, that would have been my plan...except...my special boy is leaving the day after school and wont be back till the middle of July. :saddummy: BUT!! This only drives me to fill my time doing everything I can creatively and happily until he returns!! That means I only have a week left to spend with him. So I'm going to try and make that last, and I will be inactive for just about a week until school gets out so I can continue to write story plots and sketch new stuff :dummy: I just thought I would let you all know. There are a few different new plots I'm doing, but they aren't fully developed, so I won't submit them just yet. I will keep you all posted.
To finish this quick journal, I will be back soon to fill you in on the journey of my already busy summer after these weeks!! See you soon and good luck to you all!!
